Renewed Sense of Self!

I'm back... I guess that enthusiasm I had in the first post didn't last long! I've been through a LOT in the last year and two months (time seems to have been passing by in overdrive since then). A month after my original post, I got married to my wonderful husband, taught ninth grade English for 10 months, and am now eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first baby at the end of August! It certainly has been quite a year.

With that in mind, I am more determined than ever to pursue my dream of writing. Whether or not it can contribute to our family financially is another beast to tame altogether, but I want to make sure I'm setting the example I want to for my children. The main thing I want them to know is that in order to be truly happy in life, you need to not only follow your dreams, but actively pursue them. Do whatever it takes to make yourself even one centimeter closer to your next life goal. Do things that produce a result of some kind - any kind. Don't just sit around waiting for something to happen to you, or for you. Make it happen yourself! By re-starting this blog, I am doing that: bringing myself one centimeter closer toward being the kind of person I want to be. I want to be someone who gets things done when they need doing - heck, even before they need doing. Whether I get recognized for it or not, I want to have the satisfaction of knowing I've done my part.

This is part of my contribution to the world. My stories, fictional or otherwise, will hopefully be received well and be helpful to someone. If not, I've still done my part. And once I've put something out there.. well, there it will be. Forever.

Until next time...
